I received this little Ladureé-box filled with yummy macarons from a lovely fellow blogger (thanks y from http://libelinha-y.blogspot.com/) ! Rosewater is my favorite flavour! I felt very Marie Antoinette while eating those:)

Vor wenigen Tagen erreichte mich diese kleine Laudureé-Box gefüllt mit bunten Macarons von einer lieben Bloggerin (1000 Dank an y von http://libelinha-y.blogspot.com/)! Rosenwasser ist mein Lieblingsgeschmack und ich fühlte mich sehr Marie Antoinette-esque während des Verzehrs:)

Although I wasn't allowed to take pics in the Ludwig Museum in Budapest, I made some notes while strolling through the museum (as usual).
One of the artists who caught my eye was Robert Longo. I love the style of the women shown in his drawings! Clean, simple, elegant without being boring (ok, the womens' poses are important, too).


Obwohl ich, wie bereits erwähnt, keine Fotos im Ludwig Museum in Budapest machen durfte, wurden, wie üblich, eifrig Notizen während des Museumsrundgangs gemacht.
Einer der Namen, die ich in mein Moleskine gekritzelt habe ist Robert Longo. Dieser amerikanische Künstler zeigt Frauen mit einem wunderbaren Stil: Clean, simpel und elegant ohne langweilig zu wirken (ok, die Posen der Frauen spielen dabei natürlich auch eine Rolle).

On Easter Sunday, my friend and I walked to Budapest's Ludwig Museum and I was quite dissappointed because I wasn't allowed to take pics.
But alongside the Museum is the National Theatre situated which has a very special and beautiful architecture. Between the Museum and the Theatre exists a small buliding which is the Gallery of the National Theatre. We walked inside and saw so many extravagant dresses and, best of all, I was allowed to take pics:)
Accidentally, we came across a photography-exhibition which was displayed on the street close to the American embassy.

Ein Besuch des Ludwig Museums in Budapest stand für Ostersonntag auf unserem Programm. Zuerst war ich etwas enttäuscht, da es verboten war, Fotos innerhalb des Museums zu machen.
Angrenzend an das Museum befindet sich das Nationaltheater was durch seine außergewöhnliche aber dennoch sehr ansprechende Architektur auffällt. Die Gallerie des Nationaltheaters hat uns von außen wie von innnen besonders begeistert! Zum Glück durfte ich dort fotografieren und kann euch deshalb die tollen Kostüme zeigen:)
Zufällig sahen wir später noch eine Fotografie-Ausstellung auf der Straße nähe der Amerikanischen Botschaft.

So, I'm back and here a some pics for you.
Budapest is a lovely city with great architecture. Its hilly landscape and the Danube make it a very scenic place to be.
Part 2 with cultural highlights and very extravagant clothes will follow soon...


Ich bin zurück aus dem Kurzurlaub und zeige euch ein paar Bilder von Budapest.
Die Stadt ist wirklich schön und hat eine beeindruckende Architektur. Die hügelige Landschaft und die Donau verleihen Budapest eine romantisch-gemütliche Atmosphäre.

EASTER VACATION

I'll be heading to Budapest tomorrow and I'm soooo looking forward to it!
Of course, I'll be taking lots of photos and share them here.
We haven't made a strict plan about what to see and where to go (we'll do that on the plane:) but our hotel lies next to the Hungarian National Museum so we will go there for sure. Culture & shopping sounds like a good program to me!

Die Ostertage werde ich in Budapest verbringen und bin schon ganz gespannt!
Natürlich werde ich viele Fotos machen und danach hier berichten.
Bisher haben wir noch nicht festgelegt, was wir genau anschauen wollen (dafür ist während des Fluges noch Zeit:) aber da unser Hotel direkt gegenüber des ungarische Nationalmuseums liegt, werden wir dort auf jeden Fall vorbei schauen. Kultur & Shopping...klingt super!

I came across this Jimmy Choo bag and its print seemed quite familiar to me. It shows a painting by Richard Phillip (I blogged about this artist a few month ago). Even though I like Phillips work, I'm not sure about the bag...it just looks boring. What do you think?


Vor kurzem sah ich diese Jimmy Choo Tasche im Internet und ihr Druck kam mir direkt bekannt vor. Kein Wunder, da es sich dabei um ein Bild des Künstlers Richard Phillip handelt, über den ich vor wenigen Monaten bereits geschrieben habe. Obwohl ich seine Arbeiten mag, kann ich mich mit dieser Tasche nicht nicht anfreunden...sie wirkt irgendwie langweilig. Was meint ihr?

WHAT ABOUT WHITE?

Although it's very rainy today, I'm still musing about spring dresses. Inspired by the painting from Rebecca Campbell I tried to create some outfits with wavy light summer dresses. I'm not sure about the practicability of white/fair clothes and accessories in general but they are nice to look at.

Obwohl es heute mal wieder regnet beschäftige ich mich in Gedanken mit luftig-leichten Frühlingskleidern. Inspiriert durch das Bild von Rebecca Campbell habe ich ein paar Outfits zusammen gestellt bei denen wallende Sommerkleider in hellen Farben im Mittelpunkt stehen. Leider sind helle Kleidung und Accessoiries nicht umbedingt praktisch und alltagstauglich, aber doch immerhin schön zum anschauen.
