COLLABORATION BETWEEN NOKIA AND FRÉDERIQUE DAUBAL

A few months ago I received an email in which someone was asking my adress because Nokia wanted to send out its new mobile to some bloggers. I was sceptical at first but after some email correspondance I gave in:) A few weeks later, I found the first present in my mailbox: a Moleskine diary with illustrations by graphic-designer/artist Fréderique Daubal. Nothing happened for a few month but yesterday I actually received the phone. That feels freaking surreal for me!!
OK, now the interesting stuff:
First of all I must warn you: I'm not a technical person at all so I can not give you much information on stuff like that. For me technical equipment must be easy to use and should have a nice design.
The phone is named 7900 Crystal Prism (the shape of crystal prisms is the main design theme here) and Fréderique Daubal created its surface-design. The colour combination is black mixed with a pinkish purple (yes, you are not the only one who sees a resemblance with the layout colours of this blog here). This mobile looks kind of girly in a way, but the black colour and its plain square-edged shape add an elegant touch.
I like the design so much and I'm using it since yesterday although I loved my Motorola Razr V3 a lot. Lazy me refused to read the instruction sheet but I get along quite well so far (and remember that's me the technic fool). Its sound is pretty amazing as are the colours of the display! The only negative thing I noticed is that its a bit difficult to find out how to remove the cover of the box where to place the SIM card. And yes, I looked that up in the instruction sheet but that wasn't helpful at all. Even my bf (and he is really good in technical stuff) didn't know how to open that thing but after a while he managed to do so and now its pretty easy. Oh and the buttons are very small (in comparison to my other mobile) but look beautiful.
