The idea of declaring everyday commodities as works of art came up in the early years of the 20th century. The artistic movement behind this idea is well-known as "Dada" and shaped our appreciation of art today. From 21st Feb till 26th May, the Tate Modern dedicates an exhibition to three very important Dada-artists: Duchamp, Man Ray and Picabia.Die Idee, Alltagsgegenstände als Kunstobjekte zu betrachten kam in den frühen Jahren des 20. The following designers were awarded this year: Saskia Schijen from Amsterdam, Ostwald Helgason from London (I wrote about this label in my last post), Josefine Jarzombek from Berlin, Robert Huth from Hamburg, Cem Cako from Antwerp, Sabrina Seifried from Hamburg and Anntian from Berlin.Gestern fand zum 6. Mal die Beck's Fashion Experience im Rahmen der Berliner Fashion Week statt. Diese Veranstaltung fördert junge Modedesigner und diesmal wurden folgende Designer ausgezeichnet:Saskia Schijen aus Amsterdam, Ostwald Helgason aus London (in meinem letzten Post hab ich über dieses Label geschrieben), Josefine Jarzombek aus Berlin, Robert Huth aus Hamburg, Cem Cako aus Antwerpen, Sabrina Seifried aus Hamburg und Anntian aus Berlin.
As you might have noticed, the design of "Crossover Aesthetics" has changed. I wanted to do that for several weeks. My boyfriend created a new header for me and I changed the layout, colour and so on. Please tell me, if you like what we did! I'm curious to hear your ideas and thoughts...the internet is/ should be a democratic medium after all;)Wir ihr vielleicht bemerkt habt, hat sich das Design von "Crossover Aesthetics" verändert. Ich hatte dies schon seit längerem vor. Mein Freund hat das Logo kreiert und ich habe das Layout, die Farben usw. geändert. Sagt mir bitte, wie es euch gefällt! Ich würde gern eure Ideen dazu hören/lesen...schließlich ist (sollte) das Internet ein demokratisches Medium (sein) ;)
Many of you have already heared about Polyvore (http://www.polyvore.com), me included. I never used it before because I'm not very talented in in all this computer stuff but it's really simple and you can create great scrapbooks and collages!Viele von euch haben sicherlich schon von Polyvore (http://www.polyvore.com) gehört, mich eingeschlossen. Der Grund, warum ich mich dort bisher nicht registriert habe liegt einfach darin, dass ich in Computer-Sachen nicht besonders begabt bin, aber mit Polyvore kann selbst ich bunte Collagen erstellen!
